The Profession Finder is a one-stop resource to professional bodies, to help you advance in your profession. Use it to find out about training and professional qualifications to help improve your prospects.
If you want to change career we have all the information, advice and guidance you'll need to make the right choice.
Returning to work after a leave of absence can be tough, so we've got lots of resources to help you get back into the professions.

Routes into the Professions

In the Routes into the Professions section we have information from professional bodies about how to get into the professions with a particular focus on how non-graduates can access a professional career. The Sector Summaries provides information on routes into the professions and Profession Finder allows you to check out information directly from professional bodies.
For example there is a non-graduate route to becoming a solicitor.  Potential future solicitors first train the become Legal Executives.  This route is only open to mature students and takes longer than the other two routes but it does enable you to earn money at the same time as you train to become a solicitor.
